ENTRIES

The categories for the Promax UK 2008 awards have been revamped and there are a number of points worth bearing in mind. Promax UK wants to reflect the fact that in many cases more than one promo is produced to promote a specific programme, genre or channel. Therefore as a result, in many categories you will have the option to enter one, two or three examples. In the judging process, which has also been revamped, special care will be taken to ensure fairness when comparing an entry that contains one promo up against another entry that has either two or three examples. In short, Promax UK will guarantee a level playing field regardless of the number of examples entered. This year there will be no Pre-Judging panels.  All entries will be viewed by a series of large panels made up of a cross section of people from the world of on-air promotion and marketing. All entries will be viewed in person with no remote or online judging taking place.

Originated

Promotions must be created from originated material not programme footage. Originated material can be any totally shot promo, produced animated promo or totally graphical promo. A minimal use of programme footage, music and logos will be accepted as programme reference (e.g. within end pages) as long as the overall concept is created in favour of originated material.

Clip-Based

Promotions must be created from clip programme footage not originated material. Integral graphics, stock footage or minimal shot material supporting programme footage will be accepted as long as the overall concept is created in favour of programme material.
