Q PUK is currently part of Promax UK, should I take any notice of that?
A No, the aim is to make PUK a totally independent association.
Q Can I interpret this brief in any way I like?
A Yes. The judges want you to be brave and experiment with ideas.
Q If I make a film can I make it about do anything?
A Yes, as long as it fulfils the brief and has some identifying branding top and tail
Q We have to choose 2 ideas to execute. Do they both have to be completed to the same level?
A No. Make one your key idea and make that as complete and polished as is possible, the second idea should be in rough or scamp form and show how well your idea can be made to fit the clients requirements.
Q Can I tackle more than 2 ideas.
A Yes, the minimum is two. The more complete a picture you give of how your idea will work in all areas the better.
Q Are there better categories to choose than others? Say the film or the website as opposed to concentrating on just the logo or the set design.
A There is no easy answer to that. The judges are looking for the best idea and how well that idea will work for PUK overall. It is impossible to say how that idea will present itself. It will help your chances of success if you choose two areas that can convince the judges that your idea is well thought through.
Q If I make a film is that enough to win?
A No! You need to show how you would get your idea to a wider audience by using at least 1 of the other media in the list.
Q My film doesn’t have any script - is this OK?
A YES but you must provide a written treatment or storyboard of the action even if there are no words.
Q How much does it cost to enter?
A Nothing. All entries are free.
Q Can we enter as a team or group?
A Yes, but no more than 2 ~ both your names must be shown on the paperwork.
Q If we work in a group, will we each get a prize?
A No. All prizes are shared including work experience, cash and the ‘Muse’ Shared work experience will be at the discretion of the companies involved. Places at the Awards ceremony may also be restricted
Q If I don’t believe in commercial ‘branding’ and brand values can I still enter?
A Of course, ‘anti branding’ is a fact of life. We just want good ideas about how to make this organisation work. We also want people to get to know about it and attract new members. It is up to you to tell as how you do it but you do need to understand the rules and abide by them. How you do that is up to you.

Q Can I build a live website to show my research and ideas?
A No. It will not be judged. All entries must be hard copy or CD Rom.
Q Will I get my work returned to me?
A No
Q Do we have a budget to work to?
A No, There is no financial restriction, but we are looking for appropriate ideas.
Q What happens if I don’t manage to fulfil all the entry requirements?
A You may be disqualified! Read everything very carefully especially the mandatory requirements on the entry form.
