Business Development Manager – Creative (Promotions)

To support the Head of Promotions in winning promotions business from Broadcasters both in the UK and Internationally. This will be achieved by establishing direct relationships with traditional and emerging-platform broadcasters, identifying and qualifying opportunities which result in either pitches or commissioned projects.

Reporting Lines and Key Relationships
The post holder will report to the Head of Promotions, and work collaboratively with Creative Directors and Account Directors. The individual will also work with Business Directors in other teams, cross selling other products where appropriate.

Key Accountabilities
1. Identify and qualify new business leads for promotions.- 2. Deliver new business against an agreed sales target in accordance with business objectives, business strategy and budgeted financial plan.
- 4. Facilitate the relationship through to the pitch process working with key members of the creative team to deliver the pitch/response (if required).
- 5. Working with the Marketing Exec, ensure that all intelligence on prospects, forecasts, resource requirements and new service requests (including up to date client data) are collated, available and up to date.
- 7. Represent Red Bee Media externally with clients and at conferences and exhibitions as appropriate.
Experience & Knowledge- 1. A track record of success in a business development role, able to demonstrate successful building and maintenance of relationships with clients, and a track record of winning profitable business in a dynamic, creative agency (or similar). Experience is likely to have been gained through several years of working in the TV / promotions / Marketing industry.
- 2. Extensive knowledge and experience in winning creative.
- 3. Knowledge of digital media including emerging platforms and market trends, in particular those concerning IPTV, Broadband and On Demand services.
- 4. Experience of the manner in which business is conducted in the TV creative world.
- 5. Able to demonstrate effective persuasion presentation skills at pitches and industry events.

- 11. Excellent negotiating, time-management and self-scheduling skills.

- 13. Ability to commit to and support the strategy for business growth in Creative.
- 14. Financial acumen and ability to construct and present a budget that answers the client’s requirements.
